Soror Boynton's journey as an Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. member has been truly remarkable. Her affiliation with the sorority began in the Fall of 2002, initiated through the chapter in Miami, Fl., by a coworker who introduced her to the organization and invited her to a chapter program. Since then, Soror Boynton has demonstrated unwavering dedication and commitment to the sorority.
Soror Boynton has served two chapters in many leadership roles throughout her sorority tenure. Her versatility and skills have allowed her to take on responsibilities as Secretary, Vice President, Dean of Intake, Parliamentarian, Journalist, and Chapter President. Her leadership extends beyond the chapter level, as she has also contributed as the Regional Journalist and, most recently, the Assistant Regional Director before assuming the role of Regional Director.
Soror Boynton's favorite sorority moments, marked by camaraderie and shared experiences with fellow sorors while working on programs, laughing, and having fun, speak to the bonds and friendships that make the sorority experience truly special. Her contributions and achievements within the sorority and her commitment to education exemplify the values and principles of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc.
Didi Boynton
Soror Renee' Evans Hinton is a native of Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Graduated of Shaw University with Bachelor of Science Business Administration/Management. She was inducted into Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. Upsilon Chapter March 2000. Very active with her chapter and community. She received Iota Woman of the Year April 2003, held many offices within the chapter until March 2015. Soror Hinton is very active on the Regional and National level of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. Now she is a member of the Zazzy Zeta Theta Chapter of Charlotte, North Carolina. She has worked in the accounting field for 35 years. Her most memorable moment in Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. Happened during the 86th Regional Conference in Atlanta, GA, when she was elected and installed as Assistant Regional Director of the
Southern Region.
Renee' Evans Hinton
Soror (Dr.) Patricia Thomas is the National Soror of the Year, Sorority Year 2021 -2023. She is also, the National Risk Management Chair, and the Southern Region Financial and Recording Secretary.
Soror (Dr.) Thomas has successfully served as the President, 1st and 2nd Vice President, and FIL Coordinator, and Dean of Intake of Mu Chapter. Soror Thomas was inducted in Spring 2013.
Soror (Dr.) Thomas is currently serving our nation as a Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserve and is the Reserve Commander and Senior Contracting Officer for US Pacific Command assigned to Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii.
Recently, Soror Thomas received the Defense Superior Service Medal, becoming only a few African American Females in history to ever received this recognition, she is also, the first African American Female to obtain the rank of Colonel in the United States Air Force from Attala County, Mississippi, her hometown.

Soror Devonne Wallace is a legacy of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. and a charter member of Zeta Theta Chapter, in Charlotte, NC. I have served as 1st Vice and Chapter President. Also, as the Southern Regional Representative for Toys u Can’t Return and Southern Regional Representative on the First Timers committee at the national convention. My fondest memories so far is my journey through Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. When I joined, I was told if you really want to work and be a part of an organization that will uplift you, guide you and support you then you are in the right place. I have felt that since day one with great mentorship, guidance, and patience. I am so excited and honored to be a part of such a wonderful sisterhood. I look forward to continuing to grow and seeing great things happening in Iota Phi Lambda Sorority Inc.
Devonne Wallace
Soror Harris was initiated and charter member into Epsilon Pi Chapter, in Nashville, TN, where she served as Chapter Journalist. Soror Harris later chartered Epsilon Psi of Murfreesboro,TN, where she served as Chapter Journalist and chair of Membership. One of her best memories was serving as the First Timer Chair and working with the First Timers getting them prepared to be presented during the Southern Region first Virtual Conference. Later Soror Harris served again as First Timer Chair during the 85th Southern Region Conference with a grand entrance and remix of the First Timer Song.
