As the 23rd National President, I am pleased to welcome you to the national website of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc.  Iota was founded in 1929 in Chicago, IL by Mrs. Lola M. Parker and six of her friends.  Mrs. Parker had a vision of improving the lives of young women going into the business field.   She wanted to form an organization that promoted sisterhood, leadership and service to the community.

More than ninety years later, we continue to carry out that vision through the updating of our established programs and projects.  I do not take lightly, the trust that you have bestowed upon me and the National Board to stay engaged with the members and to listen to all concerns and ideas as we work together to take Iota to greater heights.

The 2019-2023 theme of “Business and Professional Women Building the Foundation for Generational Financial Empowerment”, allows us to take her vision to the next level.  During the next four years, we have the opportunity to provide training, education and strategies to our members and the community on improving their ability to establish a strong financial foundation for now and the future.
